About us

Department of Languages is a central department providing language training to all faculties of ICT within the bachelor, master and PhD programmes.

The main focus of the Department is on teaching professional language, which involves also the preparation of teaching materials and methodology for English and German LPS (Language for Specific Purposes) courses.

Optional courses include General English, French, German, Russian and Spanish lessons, as well as Business English.

Foreign students and Erasmus programme students  are offered Czech Language for Foreigners.

Department of Languages also provides regular and intensive language courses designed for academic workers, UCT employees and PhD students.
